Relationship/Couples

Relationships are seen as the foundation of human connection. Conflicts can lead to significant stress, prompting many to seek couples therapy, as emotional upheaval can be challenging.

You are welcome here, regardless of your relationship status—whether married, in a civil partnership, or identifying as any sexual orientation. I embrace diverse cultures and have experience with both same-sex and heterosexual couples. It's common to assign blame, but both partners contribute to relationship dynamics, bringing their own strengths and weaknesses. Fulfilling relationships begin with an honest connection to oneself, fostering personal identity and shared values. Relationship counselling offers a safe space to discuss change or acceptance. Many arrive in crisis, so we explore the roots of their issues.

My goal is to support clients through difficult moments and build a trusting therapeutic relationship, emphasising authenticity. I utilise 'Integrative Therapy,' providing direction and techniques for sessions and home use. I explain situations through neuroscience and explore how early experiences shape future relationships.

I help partners develop communication skills to discuss topics with empathy and compassion, focusing on how something is expressed rather than the content. We will examine the conscious and unconscious dynamics to build a relationship based on honesty and trust. I don’t have a fixed number of sessions; we can collaboratively plan as our work progresses, offering tailored short and long-term support based on client needs.
