Face to face, online, and walk & talk counselling based in Swindon

Welcome to Jamie Sabat Counselling

I am a professionally qualified and registered counsellor, living and working within Swindon, Wiltshire. I work with adults and young persons (16+) offering both short and long term counselling.

How talking to Jamie can help you

At times life can become very difficult and painful. We often feel confused and overwhelmed with emotional difficulties. It can seem like we are carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders. Counselling offers a space for you to talk and feel heard, in an unconditional, compassionate way.

I work alongside you at your pace, allowing you space to explore your feelings and emotions with what is going on in your life, increasing your self awareness and promoting growth within a safe and confidential space. Each one of us brings our own unique way of being in the world, that is how you see the world and yourself and how you cope with life's challenges. I work comfortably with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, and relationships.

I believe it is important to find the right counsellor for you, so please get in touch if you would like to asking anything, or to arrange a telephone consultation.

Walk & talk counselling

Walk and talk counselling is something that can benefit all clients. Instead of sitting face to face in a counselling room walk and talk offers a unique and refreshing alternative traditional counselling, walking, and talking side by side, getting us outside and moving. This form of counselling allows clients to connect with nature and explore their thoughts and feelings in a more open environment.

During walk and talk counselling, like face to face, the client leads the pace, yet the dynamic is fairly different. Walking side by side can be much less intimidating and often reduces the anxiety due to the side-by-side nature of the work vs eye to eye of the counselling room. Moving our bodies and shifting our environment, offers us a space to think differently about our lives, that before has felt immovable. Being outdoors is a physically more relaxing experience for our bodies, our minds are freer to open up.

Fees & location

Face to face, online, and telephone counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and I would advise weekly sessions, however your needs are paramount so we can tailor sessions to suit these.

Face to face sessions are held within Washbourne House Therapy Centre, situated within the village of Wroughton on the outskirts of Swindon. Wroughton boasts  good road links and a regular bus service. There is free parking and toilets within the premises. Online and telephone sessions can accommodate clients from anywhere within the UK.

I offer an informal telephone consultation session at no cost, which usually lasts approx 20 minutes for you to discuss your needs and see how I can help you.

Sessions are priced at £50 per session. I offer a reduced fee for student counsellors. Please contact me for availability.
